Chronology

Six decades, in order

She came to fiction after a long apprenticeship in other crafts — the pen held first as a calligrapher, then as a journalist, and only later as a novelist.

  1. 1963

    Born in Abadeh

    She spent her childhood and teenage years in the city.

  2. 1979

    Moves to Shiraz

    She continued her education at the Shiraz University High School, later studying Physical Education and then Persian Literature.

  3. 1980s

    Calligraphy, seriously

    Years of Nastaliq practice that later became a teaching method, and eventually a book on how anyone can write more beautifully.

  4. 2005

    Fiction, in earnest

    She began writing fiction seriously at forty-two, in Ahmad Akbarpour's workshop, and did not stop.

  5. 2007

    Joins the Association

    Member of the Iranian Association of Writers for Children and Youth.

  6. 2012–2014

    Festival years

    First place at the Shiraz University story festival, then two consecutive selections for the Lakposht-e Parandeh reading list.

  7. Today

    Eight books, and storytelling

    She writes from Shiraz, reads her stories aloud on YouTube, and runs workshops for schools and libraries.
